Himalayan Highlands is an outcome of the cross-cultural musical exchange and an effort to build a harmonious bridge between the Hiamalayas and the Highlands.
We shot this video on our trip to Lomanthang, Upper Mustang, previously known as hidden Kingdom. We are privileged to have asked to come to Mustang, formerly Kingdom of Lo, is a remote and isolated region of the Nepalese Himalayas at elevation of 3,840 m (12,600 ft). We felt proud to be a part in rebuilding a Lomanthang Monastery built in 15 century, severely damaged by 2015 earthquake. We will be performing at Chhoedhe Gumpa, Lomanthang premises in an annual day of Shree Mahakaruna Sakyapa Vidhyalaya June 9, 2019.
Thank you for your great support The Treasure Lounge, Milan Gurung, Mahendra dai and Om dai and everyone, where we get to spread the message and help rebuild the historic 15 Century Monastery of Lomanthang, Upper Mustang, big thank you to Chhime Gurung ji for your kind effort to bring Kutumba to Lomanthang.
Thank you Manish Paudel and RePeace Maharjan for videography.
5th track from our 6th album "Himalayan Highland". Himalayan Highlands is the outcome of the band's journey to the highlands of Scotland. The album is cross-cultural inbound of the folk music between the two countries. The geographical distribution at the Scottish highlands and the hills of Nepal share several similarities. Likewise, the music from the mountains and hills of Nepal and from the highland expresses the similar essence, it didn't take long to take notice of the likeness.
Please share and support.
