Reprioritizing what matters in your job to prevent burnout One of the primary causes of the growing rates of burnout among American workers today is the longer work hours we work. And away from our jobs, we are being tied to our work through never-ending text messages and email. If we are going to get more quality work done with less stress and anxiety, and prevent burnout, we must choose to reprioritize and eliminate the parts of our jobs that don’t contribute much to our overall productivity.

In this video, I share my ideas for common components of our jobs that contribute little to our professional performance and productivity, despite the fact we spend many hours each day doing them. Obviously, some of the things you might be able to eliminate might not apply to others. But for your peace of mind and productivity, you occasionally have to make hard choices. Reprioritizing and eliminating unnecessary tasks is one of those important choices.
