Vol. 1 Sec. 5.2|Vol. 2 Sec. 1.2 Definite Integral Properties Problem 4 Before using a Definite Integral Property, we review the graphing process of an Absolute Value function. Then, once we have graphed our integrand, we subtly use a Definite Integral Property to split our integral into 2 smaller integrals. While doing this, we substitute Area formulas in for them to give us the Area under our curve graphed on the original interval by adding those areas together.
