Informed Parents of Rocklin is a group of parents from Rocklin California who are concerned about the safety of our children and preserving our parental rights. We became concerned about what our children were being exposed to at school so we started to review the curriculum.
As parents, we felt that we should have a say in what is best for our child’s education including what and when sensitive topics should be introduced. It was with the realization that our parental rights were in jeopardy that we started making other parents aware of these issues.
After spending hundreds of hours researching we met with teachers, district officials, and school board members and presented this slide show to them. They were shocked and didn't believe that their approved curriculum had this stuff in there or just said, "well we don't (or won't) teach that."
We were also concerned that this new curriculum would create conversations in the classroom that would be inappropriate for young children.
Much of today's curriculum was written with the help from Planned Parenthood and other groups who have an agenda for teaching children sexual "how-to's" and encouraging them to exercise their sexual rights and seek pleasurable sexual experiences.
From our research the underlying theme taught to children seems to be that if it feels good then it must be good. For parents who have any moral convictions this is very disturbing.
The curriculum also normalizes gender dysphoria and alternative sexual practices for children of all ages. Abstinence, for example, is equated with anal and oral sex because it can't get someone pregnant.
We believe Sex Ed is important and should be taught to our children but this new modern sex ed is not just about your children's health anymore... It is about sexualizing our children.
Below are three areas that we have chosen to focus on in a effort to make things less confusing as they all are somewhat interrelated.
