Is This Train Track Without Crossing Signals Abandoned or Not ?

Is This Train Track Without Crossing Signals Abandoned or Not ? Is This Train Track Without Crossing Signals Abandoned or Not ?

I've heard different things from different people about the active status of this railway. I'm at Division St, where it did some street running on Cherry Ave. Some blocks North of here, there is a dual purpose bridge used by both trains and pedestrians for me, the first of its kind. I saw an older video with a Chicago Terminal Railway switcher spotting a couple of boxcars. Some crossings on this line don't even have cross bucks. I didn't see gates or signals at any. Were there ever any advanced warning systems? Join me for some railroad archaeology / urban exploration
