Lena Waithe tells us why ‘Queen & Slim’ is such an important film | The Social

'Queen & Slim' is a powerful new thriller that follows the title characters after a sudden and tragic incident changes the course of their lives and ignites a chase across America. Lena Waithe is the film's producer and writer, who was also the first African American woman to win an Emmy for comedy writing for her work on 'Master of None'. She's also the creator of the critically acclaimed TV series 'The Chi'. Lena talks about her new project, the support from Hollywood, and what it was like having Rihanna at the premiere.
