The IDLO Assembly of Parties in November 2019 at Farnesina, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome, saw Member Party Representatives commend IDLO's efforts to deliver concrete results through its growing work around the world to solidify the rule of law. Representing the current IDLO President, the United States, Jennifer Harhaigh, Deputy Chief of the U.S. Mission to UN Agencies in Rome, said: "There is very strong support for IDLO's work and we can see that support in the increasing membership base, in new donors, and in IDLO's ever increasing footprint around the world." Irene Khan finishes her second mandate as IDLO Director General. Under her 8-year leadership, the organization has grown nearly fourfold. 13 new offices have been opened and IDLO is currently present in 20 countries in four continents. IDLO’s Assembly of Member Parties has grown from 25 to 37.
