Clashes were witnessed during a march by students of Jawaharlal Nehru University on Monday. The students were marching to Rashtrapati Bhawan to make a representation to the President of India regarding a hike in hostel fees at the varsity. Police conducted a lathicharge on the protestors. Demonstrations against the fee hike have been continuing for over a month. Similar scenes were witnessed during an attempted march to the Parliament on November 18. Protestors have also called for a boycott of examinations slated to begin from December 12.
