In this video, we will be looking at this sentence with a structural error: "**Journalists investigated into this matter"). With this wrong example as a jumping-off point, we will learn about "transitivity", a structural characteristic of verbs (in English and also every other language in the world).

In the next two videos, we will continue to look at transitive vs. intransitive verbs in English and explore the reasons why it is not always easy to remember each verb's transitivity.
