A couple got married at an Ohio airport baggage claim area where they first met 12 years ago.Michelle Belleau's boss sent her to pick up future husband Ron Peterson at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in 2007. A long-distance relationship developed, with Belleau in Cleveland and Peterson in Los Angeles. On Saturday they got married at a spot Belleau claimed 'couldn't be more perfect.'She explained that airports became happy and sad places for the couple as they would reunite and then too quickly have to depart. She has since moved to California to be with her husband. Southwest Airlines has agreed to move arriving bags to another carousel to make way for the ceremony. Belleau managed to convince Hopkins officials to let them marry there and they helped them plan their big day. After their first meeting in 2007, Belleau and Peterson maintained a long-distance relationship for years and spent more time in the airport than they would have liked.'It was both the happiest place and the saddest place,' she explained, depending on whether they were reuniting or saying goodbye.The couple has praised Southwest Airlines, and their companion-pass benefit, with helping to keep them together.Save-the-date cards were designed to look like Southwest luggage tags and their wedding invitations resemble Southwest boarding passes, The Plain Dealer reported.
