It is widely speculated that this was some type of deal gone bad. The area is full of Marijuana Grow Ops. One of the 4 does have a prior weed arrest but nothing serious. The fact ONE phone was found in Stockton near a boat ramp and the others just pinged I believe it is safe to say some type of foul play is going on here.

One of the missing 4, Anesi Sauta, contacted his wife on 5/16/17, the day after they left their homes, and advised her that they had reached the location they traveled to. Berry Creek, Ca was the location based on phone records and witness statements. They were driving in a Silver Jeep Cherokee with license plate # 7UGP903. The 4 were seen in the Berry Creek area for the next several days, estimated 5/16/17 - 5/18/17. Their phones popped up in area of Stockton, Ca on 5/18/17 - 5/18/17. Butte County Deputies have been dispatched to several properties where it is believed the 4 had been.
