A Practical Guide to Living Below Your Means | trying2adult

A Practical Guide to Living Below Your Means | trying2adult A key step to financial independence/financial freedom is to live below your means... Living below your means means that you spend less money than you earn. It is a very simple concept that anyone can understand, however, implementing it isn't so straightforward because as humans, we suck at personal finance, we have weaknesses and face challenges in our lives that make it hard and sometimes impossible to live within your means. Remember in Grade 1 when you tried to subtract 10 from 5 your answer would be "it can't", well you need to adopt the same mentality when it comes to your spending.

This video is a practical guide to living below your means. I go through the key areas that people tend to overspend, like accommodation, living with your parents, sharing rent, transport, things to consider when buying a car, dealing with peer pressure, etc. There are various ways to cut your spending in these areas without affecting your quality of life.
