Breathtaking Images Of The Sun In 4K

The first breathtaking 4K images taken by the Inouye solar telescope (NSO) in Hawaii show a close-up view of the sun’s surface. The telescope captured the highest resolution images ever taken of the sun. The image shows a pattern of turbulent, “boiling” gas that covers the entire sun.
Scientists hope this will help them better understand the sun's activity, known as space weather, and its impact on the earth.
