India produces a large amount of textile wastes. This is because, even with the latest cutting edge technologies in Textiles, a minimum of 20%-30% of materials goes in waste during production chain. Unlike other sectors, the supply chain in Textile industry is large starting from Cotton plantation the processes includes Ginning, Spinning, Weaving, Dyeing, Processing, Knitting, Garmenting and the chain goes on. Therefore waste creation at each stage of the production chain and supply chain is inevitable. ‘Lotusville Supply Chain Management LLP’ is a startup that took the issue in the hand to find solution to this problem of textile wastes. Lotusville was incorporated in the year 2016. But the Managing director, Pravin started the R&D of textile waste recycling in the year 2011 in association with Narasimmha Tex. With the joint efforts of Lotusville and Narasimmha Tex, the companies have now come out with possible solutions to convert most of the textile wastes into valuable products. The startup ‘Lotusville’ is planning to create a Sustainable environment and reduce carbon footprints that were created by Textile sector.
