How to Prep a Tumbler for Glitterizing Glitter Tumbler Prep Tutorial Custom Tumbler Tutorial

Hi Guys!


This tutorial is a quickie video just to display how to prep your tumbler. These are the items you will need:


1. Stainless Steel Tumbler
2. 220 Grit Sandpaper
3. 91% Alcohol
4. Cotton Balls, Paper Towels, or Cloth
5. White Flat or Matte Spray Paint (I use Krylon)
6. Painting Space (I use a cardboard box with a headphones holder)


Steps:


1. Wash your tumbler.
2. Sand the tumbler just enough to remove the top coat.
3. Wipe down with alcohol using cotton balls, paper towel or cloth.

4. Wash tumbler again.

5. Let dry.
6. Take tumbler to your painting space and prepare for spray painting.
7. Hold the can about 6 inches from your tumbler and spray in short, quick busts using a sweeping motion, then rotate.

8. Repeat step 7 until you can no longer see the stainless steel.

9. Catch the top of the tumbler.

10. Let dry for 10 to 20 minutes.
