Singapore has well-established capabilities to identify and isolate infected people with the virus

In Parliament on 3 February 2020, Co-chair of the Multi-Ministry Taskforce on the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (nCoV) Minister Lawrence Wong shared that Singapore has capabilities to identify and quarantine infected people as well as their close contacts, to protect Singaporeans from the spread of the virus.

Minister Wong was giving a Ministerial Statement on the Government’s response to the evolving nCoV situation and the pre-emptive measures put in place to protect Singaporeans.
