Title: Vaginal bacteria and risk of incident and persistent infection with high-risk subtypes of human papillomavirus: a retrospective cohort study among Kenyan women

Kayla Carter is a second-year Ph.D. student in the UW epidemiology department. Their research focuses on the role of the vaginal microbiota in sexual and reproductive health outcomes, and more broadly they are interested in women’s health, sexual and reproductive health, and STIs.
