We're an American couple who's been traveling around Mexico for the last two years. One place that everyone told us to avoid at all costs was the state of Guerrero—specifically Acapulco. Recently, we met some travelers who have been going to Acapulco, Guerrero for years, though. That made us wonder, is Acapulco REALLY one of the most dangerous places in the world?
Find out what we think of the safety / danger in Acapulco in this video, the first vlog we've ever made in the state of Guerrero. SPOILER ALERT: Acapulco is MUCH different than the version of it you've probably seen on the news.
What we did in this Acapulco Mexico vlog:
- We enjoyed breathtaking sunsets surrounded by cheerful locals drinking beers and eating street food.
- We tasted some of the BEST Mexican food we've ever had (like traditional pozole...YUM!)
- And we experienced some of the most unique things we've ever seen, like the "Disco Buses" that make their presence known as they barrel down the Costera.
