On March 9, 2020, I was a little taken aback listening to Members' comments and answers in this debate in the House because it sounded as though some of the Conservative MPs are climate deniers. The world is literally on fire. There are wildfires in Australia. In BC and Alberta we have had forest fires. Until we actually get on with dealing with the climate crisis, this will continue - and if we want to talk about economic prosperity then we need to address what is in front of us today. Otherwise it will be future generations who have to pay for it and that is not acceptable. I wonder if the Member opposite will simply just acknowledge that there is a climate crisis before us today?
