Doctors across the world are scrambling to develop a vaccine for Covid-19, and adapt existing treatments to contain it.
The pandemic has catalysed the development of novel coronavirus vaccines across the biotech industry, both by pharmaceutical companies and research organisations.
And in the race to develop a treatment for the rapidly spreading illness disease, dozens of drugs are being tested around the world. It’s an urgent mission because the latest data suggests that some 20 percent of people infected have serious illness, and around 1 percent may die.
