I may not be around for much longer. Channel update.

Hello. I thought I'd send you a little update regarding the general state of my channel, here on YouTube.

Just to repeat what I've said in the video, YouTube owes me nothing. I'm grateful for the resources that I've been allocated. I am not in any way playing a victim card. However, I'm pretty sure that my channel has been black-balled by YouTube.

This channel of mine has been stuck on 8,500 subs for ever. Nothing that I put out appears to be moving the needle in any direction. As a former SEO professional, I'm well versed in identifying algorithms. I have a body of evidence indicating that my channel is being subjected to some sort of algorithm that is punishing me - perhaps not for running ads, perhaps for swearing and/or perhaps for being outspoken.

Whatever the explanations are, I feel as if nothing that I do is going to change this channel's standing on YouTube. Therefore, I'm either going to have to bite the bullet and try to become more YouTube friendly (which means running ads) or I'm going to just hit the road.
