In a small village in Mindanao, one night of bloodshed forever alters the fates of two brothers. As the years pass, Alex (Gerald Anderson), an idealistic man, makes a decision to follow his heart's calling despite his adoptive father's (Rommel Padilla) hesitation. Elsewhere, a vengeful Saal (Sid Lucero) and his group of rebels do whatever it takes to fight for their cause. The paths of both men unexpectedly collide as they find themselves on opposite sides of war. Carrying a grudge on his adopted brother, Elmer (Vin Abrenica) vows to put Alex through his paces during his stay at the military boot camp. While undergoing the grueling training, Alex's impressive skills make him stand out from the rest of the pack. Later, the cadets' brotherhood is tested when one of their buddies figure in an accident.
