Here’s a staggeringly simple fact: achieving a daily calorie deficit is the only (almost) universally accepted way to predictably lose weight (forcing your body to turn to its stored resources for fuel – ideally fat reserves). Many try to create this caloric deficit through exercise. This is wildly inefficient. A balanced diet with a ton of whole fruit and vegetables, healthy fats, proteins and grains consumed in the 12 hours rarely exceeds the deficit.
