Sandworms reminiscent of Dune, only smaller, Keurbooms beach, Garden Route coast, South Africa

Here I encounter some local indigenous insect life among the indigenous fynbos plants as it burrows into the beach sand, burying itself totally, making me realize than there is life everywhere, even if we don't see it. There is more going on under the surface than we realize.
